DeskTransfer is built with the work of many open-source projects. Thank you to all of them.
FFmpeg
Audio and video are converted with FFmpeg, run as a separate program. This software uses libraries from the FFmpeg project under the LGPLv3.
- Build: n8.1.3-14-g330caae0c1-20261003 (FFmpeg release branch 8.1), the LGPL "shared" build for 64-bit Windows by BtbN. It contains no GPL-only parts (no libx264, no libx265).
- Source code: git.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.git, branch release/8.1; the build scripts and the sources of every included library are in the BtbN repository above.
- The licence text and the exact build details are installed with the program, in
resources\app.asar.unpacked\vendor\ffmpeg(LICENSE.txt and SOURCE.txt). The FFmpeg libraries are separate .dll files and can be replaced by another build of the same version. - H.264 video is made with the encoder that is part of Windows, or with OpenH264 (BSD licence) where Windows has none.
