DESKTerms of use
1. The app
DeskEditor : PDF Editor is a tool for viewing, commenting on, filling in, signing, changing and creating PDF files on your own device. By using it you accept these terms.
2. Your files are your responsibility
You decide which files you open and change. Keep a copy of anything important before you change it: the app can save over the file you opened when you choose Save. You are responsible for having the right to use, change and share the documents you work on.
3. Free version and Pro
The free version shows ads and offers a part of the tools. Pro unlocks the other tools and removes the ads. Pro is sold by Google Play as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew by themselves until you cancel them in Google Play; cancelling stops the next renewal and Pro stays on until the paid time ends. Refunds follow Google Play's rules and your rights under consumer law.
4. What the tools can and cannot do
Some tools have limits by their nature: changing existing text paints over the old words and writes new ones in the app's own letters; converting Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web pages keeps the text and tables but not the full layout; black-out turns the page into a picture. Check the result before you rely on it or send it.
5. Signatures
A signature you draw and place on a document is a picture of your handwriting. Whether that is enough for a particular contract or authority depends on the law and on who receives it. It is not a qualified electronic signature.
6. No warranty
The app is provided as it is. The developer does not promise that it is free of errors, that it fits a particular purpose, or that every PDF can be opened or changed correctly.
7. Liability
As far as the law allows, the developer is not liable for loss of data, loss of income or other indirect loss that comes from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, liability under product liability law, or the rights you have as a consumer that cannot be set aside by agreement.
8. Other services
Ads are delivered by Google AdMob and purchases by Google Play, each under its own terms. The link to DeskTransfer opens Google Play.
9. Changes
These terms may change with new versions of the app. The current text is always in the app.
10. Law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are settled by the Danish courts, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to another court.
