Privacy policy

In short

Your PDFs stay on your phone. DeskEditor has no account, no cloud and no server of its own, and its developer never sees your files. The free version shows ads from Google, and Google handles purchases; that is the only data that leaves your phone.

Your files

DeskEditor opens the files you choose through Android's own file picker and works on a private copy inside the app. That copy is deleted when you close the document. Nothing you open, write, sign or scan is uploaded anywhere by the app. The app asks for no storage permission: it sees only the files you hand it.

Signatures and saved texts

A signature you draw, and texts you save for filling forms, are kept on your phone only, in the app's own storage. They are not included in Android's backup. Removing the app removes them.

Camera

For scanning, DeskEditor asks your phone's camera app to take a photo and hand it over. DeskEditor itself has no camera permission.

Ads (free version only)

The free version shows a banner from Google AdMob. To do that, Google's ad service runs inside the app and may use your device's advertising id, your approximate location derived from your internet address, and information about how you use the ad, as described in Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Where the law requires it (for example in the EU), you are asked for your choice first, and you can change it at any time under More, Ad choices. DeskEditor Pro shows no ads and does not start the ad service.

Purchases

DeskEditor Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment; the developer receives no card or bank details. The app only asks Google Play whether Pro has been bought.

Web page to PDF

This tool loads the web address you type, directly from your phone, like a browser would. The site you visit sees the request as it would from any browser.

What the developer collects

Nothing. There are no analytics, no crash reports and no usage statistics sent to the developer.

Children

DeskEditor is a general tool and is not directed at children.
